Why Groom Your Cat?
Ten years ago, cat owners believed that their pets did not need
regular grooming (or any grooming at all) unless unusual health
problems (mats; skin irritations; sores; hairballs; or, in extreme cases,
intestinal blockages) developed.
Accordingly, there existed very few grooming products designed
specifically for cats. Groomers and owners, instead, were forced to use
human or canine products for hygienic maintenance of their cats.
Over time, owners and caregivers alike have realized the importance
of regular cat grooming. Contemporary experts agree that indoor cats
that are routinely groomed will live happier and longer lives than those
that do not receive such treatment. According to related studies, long-haired
cats should be groomed every 4-6 weeks, while those of the
short-haired variety require such treatment 2-3 times annually.
Today, manufacturers formerly neglectful of the hygienic needs of
indoor cats, are dedicated to the merchandising of cat-friendly
products, as the market for such items grows. Our groomers use
only the most dependable of such products. |
